Job Summary

We are seeking a Seasonal Cashier to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Seasonal Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast and friendly customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Operate a cash register, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout areas
  • Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing solutions
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
