Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide medical care, treatment, consultation, and case management for injured and ill employees. This includes ensuring the ongoing safety and well-being of our workforce and reducing the frequency of lost time incidents due to injury and illness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and/or assess working practices by performing physical examinations and conducting Respiratory Fit testing (RFT) to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) legislation.
  • Work with business and external medical providers to return employees to work promptly following an occupational illness or injury.
  • Collate information and perform regular analysis to ensure more senior team members have accurate and up-to-date information to inform external regulators (e.g., DOT, Hearing Conservation, etc.) as required.
  • Evaluate employee compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards and regulations and ensure the team complies with safety standards, policies, and processes to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff.
  • Manage the on-site health office and provide walk-in treatment and care as needed.
  • Perform pre-employment physical exams on all new employees and be responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and case management of occupational injuries (acute and chronic care) to ensure employees' ongoing well-being and reduce absence frequency.
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing i.e. pre-employment, random, reasonable cause to adhere to organizational policy.
Requirements:
  • B.S Nursing or other discipline that qualifies for PA Master's Program and a fully qualified MSN Nurse Practitioner or Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science, or Medical Science
  • Board Certification - American Nurse Credentialing Center or NCCPA-Certified and board certification
