Salary:

$200,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Specialist to join our team at the VA Amarillo Health Care System. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, interpreting clinical data, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates patients through thorough examinations and gathers relevant clinical, laboratory, and other data to determine appropriate care.
  • Interprets and evaluates clinical data to determine diagnosis and clinical status, performs and/or interprets various tests, including EKGs, Echocardiograms, Nuclear stress testing, and Exercise Treadmill Testing.
  • Prescribes timely and appropriate treatment, applies indicated therapeutic procedures, recognizes changes in behavior, symptoms, signs, and other pertinent facts about the patient, and modifies the plan of treatment when necessary.
  • Maintains BLS/ACLS certifications, moderate sedation, and OOORAM certification as applicable with facility bylaws.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine or related specialty.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a cardiac care unit or similar environment.
