Elementary Education Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Grade 6 Teacher to join our team at Safford Unified School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative and productive learning environment.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and community members.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay updated on curriculum requirements.
- Assess and report student progress to parents and administrators in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage classroom attendance and maintain accurate records as prescribed by law and district policies.
- Ensure the proper care and maintenance of school property and equipment.
- Contribute to the planning and evaluation of the school program to ensure its alignment with district goals and objectives.
- Engage in self-evaluation and self-improvement to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Adhere to district policies and procedures governing the contractual obligations of employment.
- Recognize and respect the civil and human rights of students.
- Stay knowledgeable of and adhere to district curriculum scope and sequence.
- Maintain accurate and relevant records to support student learning and development.
- Avoid engaging in activities that negatively impact classroom performance and other responsibilities.
- Assist in the supervision and evaluation of assigned teacher aides, as applicable.
- Make referrals to appropriate personnel to address student needs.
