Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator Assistant to join our team at American Packaging Corp. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our presses and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Press Operator in meeting production targets and maintaining high-quality output.
  • Hang substrates on the press and ensure proper alignment.
  • Operate the register control system and maintain accurate records.
  • Understand and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in training programs.
  • Run the press to approved specifications and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily reports, final release, consumption reports, and roll tickets.
  • Participate in safety programs and make observations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Press Operator or production team leader.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced production environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. You will be required to stand for long periods, use hands to handle and feel objects, and talk or hear. You may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
