Job Summary

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist PRN is responsible for following and interpreting physician orders, utilizing AIDET for patient care, and ensuring proper patient positioning for radiology exams.

The technologist will also be responsible for maneuvering radiology equipment, producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, and demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients aged 15 and older.

Essential Functions

  • Requires independent judgment and the ability to work alone.
  • Prepares and positions patients appropriately for radiology exams.
  • Follows radiation and safety guidelines.
  • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images.
  • Must be proficient with a C-Arm.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Requirements

  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current license from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH).
  • Basic Life Support Certification required.

Commitment

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist PRN is a PRN position, requiring a minimum of 8 hours of work per month and one weekend on call per month (8-4pm Sat/Sun).

This is a flexible position, allowing the technologist to schedule inpatient exams according to their timeline and availability.
