About the Role:
Surgical First Assist Technologists play a vital part in assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled and dedicated individuals to join SSM Health as Surgical First Assist Technologists.

**Job Summary:**
Assist surgeons skillfully during a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care, utilizing advanced knowledge of surgical procedures and anticipating unexpected needs. Perform tasks such as exposing operative sites, suturing tissue, preparing equipment, and implementing plans of care tailored to individual patients. Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills while working effectively within teams and maintaining accountability for standards of care provided.

Requirements:
  • Possess Associate's degree or Clinical Certification
  • 3 years' experience in related field

Physical Demands:
This role requires constant use of vision, hearing, and standing/walking. Frequent lifting/moving patients and occasional keyboard use/data entry are also required. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
