We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammographic procedures and obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Provide excellent patient care and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, including mammography machines
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient histories and imaging results
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in mammography
Requirements
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification in mammography
  • Diagnostic mammography certification
  • Electronic medical records experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist
  • EPIC EMR experience
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Able to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for imaging
  • Eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films
