About the Role

We are seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team on a part-time weekend basis. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our resident apartments, common areas, and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize resident apartments, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and other communal areas.
  • Ensure floors and carpets are kept clean by sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, and disinfecting as needed.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are met, such as appropriately using caution and safety signs to maintain resident and visitor safety.
  • Clean linens, make beds, and assist with resident laundry according to the cleaning schedule.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Meet, have, or be eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications.
  • Have basic written and oral English communication skills.
  • Care about serving seniors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in housekeeping as a maid, room attendant, house cleaner, and/or custodian.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
