Key Responsibilities- Provide Expert Massage Services: Deliver thorough and knowledgeable professional massages to our guests, ensuring their comfort and relaxation.
- Prioritize Guest Satisfaction: Focus on providing exceptional service, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Knowledge: Maintain proficiency in all areas of massage therapy, including anatomy, physiology, and body systems.
- Upsell and Promote Retail Products: Promote and sell retail products to our guests, enhancing their overall experience and increasing revenue for the resort.
- Manage Booking and Scheduling: Answer guest calls, make reservations, and check guests in and out of the spa, ensuring seamless booking and scheduling processes.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Clean and sanitize work areas, remove soiled linen, and operate equipment safely, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Stock and Organize Treatment Rooms: Stock and organize treatment rooms with appropriate linens and supplies, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing environment for our guests.
- Participate in Team Efforts: Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized spa environment, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: Possess a valid New York State massage license
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to work weekends and holidays, strong knowledge of spa services, sound knowledge of merchandising, excellent organizational and time management skills, knowledge of various allergy restrictions, basic math and written skills, and ability to operate PMS system.
The physical demands of this position include standing and moving for extended periods, twisting, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds. The employee must also be able to ascend and descend stairs when moving between the spa and front desk and guestrooms.
Work ConditionsThe position will require working weekend and holiday hours in an indoor environment with moderate noise levels. The employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional presentation at all times.
