We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Team at Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Job Description

The Senior Physician Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting during procedures, including closing incisions and recording post-op orders and follow-up progress notes.
  • Providing care and guidance to patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery.
  • Transporting and caring for patients from the operating room to the recovery room or intensive care unit.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years' experience as a mid-level in the Cardiac Vascular and/or Thoracic setting.
  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or a program approved by CAHEA (AMA's Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation) or its successor.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Successful credential process with the BMH Medical Staff; must meet reappointment requirements as set forth by the bylaws.
  • Current DEA license including coverage for scheduled medication prescriptions.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing OR Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) issued by the Medical Board of California.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
