Pediatrician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatrician to join our team at Community Health Center of the North Country.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care to children, from birth to adolescence, and their families. This includes examining patients, treating injuries and ailments, and educating patients on healthy habits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatments to assess medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as needed.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures governing patient care and medical staff appointments.
Requirements
  • Medical doctor with five-plus years of directly related experience.
  • Current, registered New York State license to practice medicine.
  • Current Board certification.
  • Current DEA certification.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with others.
