Floor Houseperson

The Floor Houseperson is a vital member of our housekeeping team at Aloft Bolingbrook, ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests. Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting guests warmly and professionally
• Retrieving linen and trash from room attendant carts and assigned rooms daily
• Restocking linen carts and closets throughout the day
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, regularly vacuuming as needed
• Keeping elevators, hallways, walkways, and stairs clean and presentable
• Assisting with special projects like mattress flipping and deep cleaning under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager
• Operating housekeeping equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners
• Cleaning hallway doors, windows, and vents
• Delivering requested items to guest rooms promptly
• Ensuring cleanliness of all guest's common areas including lobbies, restrooms, and pool areas, and vacuuming hallways as necessary
• Handling guest complaints efficiently and courteously
• Assisting other hotel departments during peak periods
• Performing other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Previous hotel experience preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and bend as required
• Ability to see, hear, speak, and understand English proficiently
• Computer literate
• Strong communication skills with guests
• Knowledge of the local area is advantageous
