Job Summary:
Collaborative Support Programs is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As an Enhanced Support Worker, you will provide direct support, skill development, and community resource linkages to residents who have a psychiatric, substance use disability, and/or are within the legal system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered, collaborative support to residents to enable them to live independently and work towards realizing their full potential.
- Assess residents' needs and develop service plans in collaboration with the Regional Coordinator and other stakeholders.
- Support residents in achieving their goals in the 8 dimensions of wellness, including housing, emotional health, physical health, social, employment, and educational goals.
- Participate in the development and delivery of service plans, advocacy, and community-based support.
- Rotate weekends on call by phone to provide emergency support and outreach services.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 4 years of related work or life experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related discipline.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes.
- Exceptional time management skills to support the needs of multiple residents.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products and general computer literacy.
- Ability to collaborate with individuals living with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
- Valid NJ Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Benefits:
- Hourly wage: $20.43 per hour based on education and experience.
- Benefit-eligible (medical, free DMO dental, and free vision) including 6 weeks PTO and 11 holidays.
- Full-time or part-time positions available (40 hours/week or 30 hours/week).
Work Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
Thursday - Sunday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
