Construction Superintendent

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities for our projects in the Palo Alto or Menlo Park areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure project completion on schedule by overseeing all on-site construction activities.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to adhere to project plans and specifications.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
• Review project plans and specifications with the project management team to develop and implement work plans.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
• Maintain detailed daily logs and progress reports, communicating updates to the project management team and stakeholders.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available on-site as needed and coordinate deliveries to avoid delays.
• Assist with project meetings with subcontractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to review progress and address any concerns.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably in commercial, medical, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to enforcing them on-site.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
