Certified Nursing Assistant

Campbell County Health is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. With your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality, you will make a significant contribution to our organization.
Job Summary
As a CNA, you will be responsible for assisting with basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs) according to individualized care plans. You will also observe residents and report unusual conditions or responses to the Charge Nurse. Additionally, you will assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents, as well as help dietary staff pass meal trays and setup per care plan.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic patient care and ADLs according to plan of care.
- Observe residents and report unusual conditions and/or responses to Charge Nurse of respective Unit.
- Enhance resident safety by attending bedside shift huddle and performance of hourly rounding.
- Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
- Assist dietary staff in passing meal trays and setup per care plan.
- Pass water, ice, clean linens and supplies to resident/patient rooms.
- Fills Helios portable oxygen machines utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Performs routine cleaning tasks.
- Provides service excellence to all customers in accordance with AIDET and Excellence Every Day.
- Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills.
- Documents on residents according to policy; ADLs, Behavior, Bath and Skin integrity and etc.
- Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Actively participates in facility committees, CQI teams, and Quality Improvement Program.
- Alerts staff when supplies, including equipment are needed and replenishes stock.
- Completes van competency and transports residents as needed.
- May be required to work on other nursing units according to distribution of staff and residents.
- Adheres to CCH policies and procedures.
- Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of nurse's aide certification, and current certification in the State of Wyoming. Previous experience as a CNA is preferred. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of basic patient care procedures, and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
