We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medical Technologist to join our team at Shady Grove Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Manager with planning and organizing radiology procedures and protocols.
- Produce high-quality nuclear medicine images and accomplish computer processing with image enhancement.
- Interact with radiologists to ensure proper protocol for complicated or unusual procedures.
- Perform daily QA checks as required by state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records to comply with NRC and state regulations.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to USP 825.
- Practice Radiation Safety on a daily basis.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
- Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the A.R.R.T./NMTCB.
- Active Maryland license required.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- One year of current experience within your specialty in a hospital environment.
- Proficient in IV access.
