Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging:

  • Conducts both routine and advanced CT imaging procedures on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluates patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Prepares patients for CT imaging: explains procedures, positions patients for optimal scanning, and provides support throughout the process.
  • Generates diagnostic images in the assigned area and performs quality control as needed.
  • Adjusts scanning parameters appropriately, employing dose reduction techniques when applicable.
  • Communicates effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and colleagues.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and fellow staff members.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean to promote safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.

(15%) Imaging Support:

  • Ensures imaging equipment is well-maintained and sanitized after each use.
  • Assists in updating the radiographic protocol manual.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff by providing technical guidance and resources.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
