Job Title: Robot Programmer Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Robot Programmer Trainee at GableTek. As a Robot Programmer Trainee, you will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and debugging robots to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programming and troubleshooting of ABB, FANUC, and/or KAWASAKI robots
  • Making proper connections of Remote I/O, Ethernet, and DeviceNet communication protocols
  • Setting up peripheral equipment on the robot, including IO blocks, Spot welders, MIG welders, and Vision cameras
  • Reading and following blueprints
  • Understanding welding fundamentals and theory
  • Basic troubleshooting and adjustments of welding fixtures
  • Knowledge of Electronics, Electrical Circuitry, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanics, and Mathematics
  • Basic offline programming using RoboGuide / Robot Studio
  • Working with a team as well as independently
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Mechatronics certificate or journeyperson card (preferred)
  • Associates degree in Mechatronics, Controls, Maintenance Technician (preferred)

We welcome candidates with no experience and offer training. If you have no experience, there will be an approximate two-week evaluation period. After you start, training is paid, and we welcome employees to cross-train on new equipment in our classrooms.
