Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee the direction of our kitchen's daily activities. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team, controlling labor costs, and ensuring high-quality food products meet our standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a team of 35 full-time and part-time culinary employees.
  • Ensure event staff are aware of workplace expectations and provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring.
  • Control labor costs through effective scheduling, cross-training, and development of employees.
  • Ensure that budgeted food percentages are achieved through effective control measures.
  • Oversee the production of staff meals, ensuring they are on time, healthy, and substantial.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting projected costs.
  • Professional appearance and presentation required.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Maintains a current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit if required by state or local government.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 to $75,000 per year, as well as benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, and paid time off.

This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of our business. The successful candidate will be available to work a variable event-driven schedule, including evenings and weekends.
