Key Responsibilities
  • Plumbing Maintenance and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution. Communicate effectively with property managers and residents to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems to identify potential issues and prevent costly repairs.
  • Light Construction and Carpentry: Perform light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required to maintain the integrity of our properties.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation with the rest of the Maintenance Team to ensure 24/7 coverage for emergency maintenance requests.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain the facility and grounds based on portfolio objectives and standards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow practices for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility equipment, including compliance with health, safety, and OSHA programs, policies, procedures, and reports.
Requirements
  • State Plumbing License: Possess a valid state plumbing license.
  • Experience and Education: 1-3 years of experience in plumbing maintenance and repair, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of safety standards, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills to relay issues to property managers.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling heavy loads, with the ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Reliable Transportation: Possess a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license.
