Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Electrician to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Safford, AZ. As a Diagnostic Electrician, you will be responsible for the removal, repair, and installation of electrical components and systems, as well as analysis and diagnosis of electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Removal, repair, and installation of electrical components and systems
  • Analysis and diagnosis of electrical issues
  • Advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization
  • Mentor or train other electrical workers
  • Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical, and/or Instrumentation Program
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance
  • Associate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems
  • Experience working with low and medium voltages
  • Experience with AC and/or DC controls
  • Experience with instrumentation devices
  • Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment
  • Experience with HVAC equipment
What We Offer

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $42.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
