Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a group of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with our safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of technicians to perform complex repair and maintenance work on heavy-duty trucks and refuse bodywork, including chassis, hydraulic, electrical, and heating and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions using electronic tools and provide coaching to subordinate technicians on diagnostic techniques.
- Inspect repairs done by third-party vendors to ensure compliance with our safety procedures and federal and state regulations.
- Plan and schedule repair work to minimize lost productivity and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Act as a mentor to technicians and handle maintenance supervisor responsibilities as needed.
- At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
- Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in areas such as suspensions, steering, general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, and diesel emissions.
- ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) and Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License are a plus but not required.
