Utility Worker

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Utility Worker to join our team at Transdev. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the maintenance department and technicians in various tasks, including vehicle washing, fueling, and cleaning.
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors and seats.
- Empty trash from vehicles and report any damage or malfunctions to the Utility Supervisor.
- Turn in lost and found articles and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow company policy and OSHA safety regulations at all times.
- Position and stage vehicles in the parking lot and maintain equipment and work areas.
- Responsible for maintaining service and repair of cash revenue fare boxes for vehicles.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of farebox systems and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a maintenance or shop environment.
- Knowledge of shop safety standards and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess a CDL with passenger endorsement and airbrakes or be able to obtain a CDL.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours or shifts and as part of a team.
The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for long periods, ability to sit for up to three hours, and lifting or handling material weighing up to 50-75 lbs.
