PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This role involves executing advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations while serving as a resource and technical authority for engineering teams. The position entails making critical technical decisions and requires a deep understanding of the functional discipline and its practical applications, along with a thorough knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver comprehensive technical expertise to design, manage, and execute engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
  • Provide technical consultation and support through direct engagement and as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system challenges.
  • Assume engineering and technical leadership responsibilities for both short-term and long-term initiatives that influence site operations.
  • Conduct engineering tasks as directed by supervision, applying sound engineering principles.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Engage in independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
  • Propose equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material deficiencies, or comply with evolving codes or regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • For Entry Level E01 Engineer – New Graduate: B.S. in Engineering
  • For Mid-level E02 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
  • For Senior E03 Engineer: B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 years of engineering experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineer Registration
  • Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework
