This role involves close collaboration with fellow engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure that all designs adhere to specified requirements and are executed efficiently and economically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess mechanical and, at times, electromechanical systems and products through the design and execution of research initiatives, applying principles of mechanics, hydraulics, and materials science.
- Validate system and product performance by devising testing strategies.
- Innovate products by analyzing customer needs, exploring and testing manufacturing and assembly techniques, and gathering user feedback.
- Enhance manufacturing workflows by designing and adjusting equipment for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of components.
- Ensure product and system integrity by creating testing protocols, evaluating finished product performance, and verifying fabrication, assembly, and installation methods.
- Provide technical support by addressing inquiries and requests.
- Uphold product and company standards by adhering to regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks.
- Advance professional and technical expertise by participating in educational programs, reviewing industry literature, building professional networks, and engaging in relevant organizations.
- Support team objectives by achieving related outcomes as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Experience in Water/Wastewater systems is essential.
- Familiarity with foundry processes and structural stress analysis is preferred.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe post-hire.
- Certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) is necessary.
- A robust background in project management is advantageous.
