Position Summary:

Full Life Hawaii is in search of a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant to positively impact the lives of our participants. In this role, you will provide various services that empower individuals to lead more fulfilling lives. We recognize the significance of promoting personal growth and development, and we are devoted to supporting our participants and their families throughout their journey. Our services are designed to meet the unique needs and aspirations of our participants, and we are committed to helping them reach their full potential.


Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals who possess the necessary skills to offer support and care to people with disabilities. Our ideal candidate is driven by passion and committed to providing exceptional assistance. While prior experience in a relevant field is advantageous, it is not a requirement.

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED. If you lack these qualifications, our supervisors can assess your skills and certify your ability to perform essential job functions such as documentation and reading comprehension.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, active auto insurance policy, and a clean driving record.
  • Proof of tuberculosis clearance within the past year (or clearance prior to employment). Full Life Hawaii will assist you in obtaining this clearance.
  • No prior work experience is necessary; we will provide training and development for the right candidate.
  • As a Personal Care Assistant, you will typically work in the participant's home and within the community. The role may involve sitting, using your hands, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. You may occasionally need to lift up to 20 lbs. or more, and there may be some bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling, and crouching involved, depending on the participant's needs.

What We Provide:

The compensation for full-time positions begins at $18.50 per hour, while part-time roles start at $16.00 per hour. Certain positions that require more support may offer a starting rate of $19.50 per hour. All training is compensated at $15.00 per hour, and we provide incentives for completing and maintaining annual training requirements.
