KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a motivated and diligent Retail Sales Representative / Merchandise Handler, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional service to customers and donors through friendly greetings and prompt assistance.
- Stocking and organizing merchandise on the sales floor.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store and donation areas, including performing assigned cleaning tasks.
- Adhering to all point-of-sale (POS) and cash register policies in accordance with TSA guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participating in mandatory monthly team meetings.
- Receiving, unloading, and accurately stocking incoming inventory.
- Conducting quality checks on products to identify defects or damages.
- Assisting donors with the removal of items from their vehicles and providing receipts.
- Sorting and categorizing donated materials as directed by management.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Proficiency in handling POS and cash transactions.
- A clean background check, including criminal history and sex offender registry.
- Effective communication skills with management, team members, customers, and donors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be able to:
- Engage in various physical activities such as sitting, walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Complete duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
SCHEDULE
Our retail locations operate seven days a week. Work schedules are determined by management, and flexibility is required to ensure adequate coverage. Part-time associates may be scheduled for various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
