Custodian

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Benicia Unified School District. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, and other areas of the school
• Operate custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as tightening loose screws and changing light bulbs
• Assist with grounds maintenance, including watering plants and mowing the lawn
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in custodial work or a related field preferred
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a full-time position that requires working a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to pass a Strength and Agility Test prior to hiring.
