Position Overview

The Wire Operations Specialist I is an essential member of Cadence Bank's Wire Operations team, equipped with extensive expertise in wire transfer processes. This role is pivotal in delivering support to clients, bank personnel, and the Wire Operations Manager. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, outstanding communication abilities, and proficiency in navigating diverse systems and protocols efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently manage all incoming and outgoing wire transfers.
  • Provide assistance through phone communications within the Wire Operations department, aiding both internal staff and external clients.
  • Daily processing of wire returns, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Address wire-related inquiries from internal employees and customers via email and phone, resolving issues with professionalism and promptness.
  • Manage trace requests from clients and internal teams, documenting and tracking wire transactions as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain customer profiles for both new and existing wire clients, ensuring information is precise and current.
  • Assist with Netrax documentation and respond to wire research requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Support drawdown processing and provide reporting on transactional activities as needed.
  • Utilize Payplus Wire processing knowledge to fulfill late shift requirements when necessary.
  • Stay updated on and comply with Federal Reserve Rules and Regulations, ensuring adherence to banking standards and protocols.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and other departments, promoting a collaborative work atmosphere.
  • Competence in computer applications, including Excel and Google tools, with the capability to navigate banking systems effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of general wire processing principles, including compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Willingness to adapt to change and work in a detail-oriented setting.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Bank systems is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
  • Adherence to the policies and procedures established by Cadence Bank.
  • Up to 2 years of prior experience in banking, preferably in wire processing or a related area.
