Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to work with internal partners to support technology decisions to transform software development, increase developer productivity and improve solution delivery timeline to our customers.

This role requires a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC) principles, as well as experience with agile development methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with product teams to develop highly scalable, flexible and resilient software solutions
  • Partnering with system architects and product owners to re-architect products to enable deployment on serverless containerized cloud frameworks
  • Key participant in the development and transformation effort to increase developer productivity and improve solution delivery timeline to our customers as a Development CoE representative
  • Ensuring products and solutions are code quality, application security, accessibility, and 508 compliant
  • Conducting code reviews and ensuring code written complies with the Company's standard and best practices and providing improvement feedback to developers
  • Supporting new talent acquisitions, onboarding and training staff on Company development tools, process and standards
  • Supporting business development effort (e.g. responding to RFP technical requirements, estimating development effort, supporting demonstrations etc.)
Requirements:

Required qualifications/experience:

  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline and 5+ years of software development experience
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues with standard or custom programs
  • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC principles
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable to project and task changes, ability to multitask
  • Ability to work within project plans and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates analytical skills and thinking

Preferred qualifications/experience:

  • Experience with COTS products (such as COGNOS, CRM, IVR, Oracle E-Business Suite, IBM DataStage, IBM Watson Analytics, Salesforce, PEGA, MuleSoft, Document Management Tools (FileNet, SharePoint), Oracle SOA, Pitney Bowes - EngageOne, EDIFECS - XEngine)
  • Experience in implementing end-to-end solutions using a COTS product
  • Experience in providing solutions to complex problems using customizations of COTS tools
  • Experience integrating COTS solutions with large scale web applications and relational databases
  • Experience working with single sign-on (SSO) integration for enterprise applications
  • Experience understanding of integrating applications with identity and access management (IAM)
  • Experience in identifying security issues with tools and resolving security vulnerabilities for web applications
  • Experience in design and implementation of COTS tools
  • Experience in both functional and technical details of COTS tools
  • Experience in overseeing implementation of any COTS products
  • Experience in escalations with third-party vendors for resolutions
  • Experience in training resources with various COTS tools
  • Experience understanding of application security and architecture
  • Experience creating both functional and technical COTS documentation
  • Experience configuring application code on-premise and cloud infrastructure (such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud)
