Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join our team. As a key member of our bakery, you will be responsible for developing and producing our patisserie offerings, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and driving business growth through innovative product development and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce a diverse range of patisserie products, including cakes, traybakes, and pastries, for our markets and shops.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all patisserie products, ensuring consistency and excellence in every item.
  • Lead and motivate the patisserie team, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their full potential.
  • Develop new products and processes to drive business growth and increase efficiency.
  • Manage the creation of patisserie products for our home delivery offering, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Oversee celebration cake orders, ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with shop managers to maintain optimal stock levels and product offerings.
  • Work closely with shop managers to establish effective systems for information flow and ensure up-to-date paperwork is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Train and support patisserie staff to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Act as the responsible person on site at Leith when the Head Baker is unavailable.
