We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team in the Wharton Health Care Management Department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health care management, sociology, economics, management, or public health, and will be responsible for conducting research on the implications of private equity acquisitions of substance use disorder treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on the organizational strategy, treatment quality, adverse events, and access to treatment in substance use disorder treatment facilities acquired by private equity firms.
- Work with a wide range of health care data to analyze the impact of private equity acquisitions on health care organizations.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary research team to develop and implement research projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including health care providers, payers, and policymakers.
- Present research findings to academic and industry audiences.
- PhD in health care management, sociology, economics, management, or public health, or be close to completing a PhD in one of these fields.
- Strong quantitative skills and programming experience in R, STATA, or Python.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
