Fitter Craftsman

Lyon Shipyard Inc is a leading manufacturer of high-quality steel products for the shipbuilding industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Fitter Craftsman to join our team and contribute to the success of our fabrication department.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

1. Fabrication and repair: Cut, burn, and tack weld various metals to build and repair complex steel structures on board ships.
2. Safety and quality: Monitor working environment for compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and health regulations.
3. Communication and teamwork: Work effectively with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

1. High school degree or equivalent: Required for all levels of ship fitters.
2. Apprentice or trade school: Preferred for Master Class and 1st Class positions.
3. Experience in shipbuilding or military setting: Preferred for all positions.
