Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to work with our team of experts. As a Special Education Teacher at MIYO Health, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for our students, providing direct instruction and support, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings
  • Collaborate with our team of experts, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop strategies for improvement
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's education
Requirements
  • Active Teaching Certificate in Colorado
  • Availability to teach in-person for the 24-25 school year in the Denver metro area
  • At least 3 years experience in a school-based setting
  • Case management experience
  • Familiarity with web-based IEP programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Experience working with diverse populations and in inclusive settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
