The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations by efficiently managing the loading and unloading of pallets into trailers. This position is essential for ensuring that products are supplied to production lines seamlessly, along with various tasks associated with shipping and receiving.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle the loading and unloading of all incoming and outgoing trailers, ensuring signature verification on outbound Bills of Lading (BOL).
  • Secure loads for transportation, utilizing shrink wrap, load restraints, and air pillows as necessary.
  • Transport products between different areas within the facility.
  • Maintain cleanliness inside trailers.
  • Replace propane tanks or connect electric forklifts for charging as required.
  • Operate FlexXray's yard mule to reposition unattended trailers after receiving proper training.
  • Proactively inform supervisors about any maintenance needs for forklifts and yard mules.
  • Complete Forklift Inspection Sheets and weekly duty checklists.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and care of pallets.
  • Guarantee that production lines are stocked with the necessary products to function efficiently.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Communicate any issues in the shipping and receiving process to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must successfully pass a forklift operation assessment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency.
  • Adhere to the attendance policy.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed based on business demands.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, twist, grasp, pull, push, reach, walk, and sit.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
