We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Floating Medical Assistant to join our team at MainStreet Family Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in multiple clinics across Greenville, Kinston, and Tarboro, NC.
Responsibilities:- Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Take patient histories and vital signs, and prepare patients for examination and treatment.
- Dispense medication as directed and instruct patients on discharge instructions.
- Handle telephone calls from clients, patients, and staff, and provide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of the position.
- Patient intake, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers, and companies.
- Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, and physicians' review.
- Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments, and complete opening and closing procedures.
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.
- Position begins at $14 / hr.
