Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in California.

Job Requirements:
  • Perform routine to complex nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radioactive materials and radioactive pharmaceuticals in accordance with established nuclear medicine guidelines and protocols.
  • Conduct radionuclide imaging of organs, organ systems, compartments, and physiologic functions, as well as assays of body fluids, tissues, and radio bioassays.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of Nuclear Medicine imaging and principles of radiation safety.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures using established Nuclear Medicine protocols to achieve high-quality images.
  • Follow protocols specified by radiologists and educate patients, collect patient histories, and communicate patient information.
  • Enter complex data into computer systems and review, verify, and evaluate images to ensure technical quality and image quality.
Essential Qualifications:
  • NMTCB or ARRT certification and California Department of Public Health NMT certification.
  • Covid-19 vaccination and booster (if eligible).
