Decarbonization Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Decarbonization Subject Matter Expert to join our team at Dewberry. As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in providing technical guidance and leadership to our design resources in energy engineering and decarbonization projects.

• Provide operational and technical guidance to design resources on energy engineering and decarbonization projects
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Decarbonization/Electrification growth strategy
• Work with project/client managers to provide technical guidance and support
• Lead the development of office Mechanical standards and coordinate with the Chief Engineer
• Engineer of Record on select projects as needed
• Provide technical training and development of staff related to energy planning, modeling, and life cycle cost analysis

• Accomplished mechanical engineer/PE with 20+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems, thermal energy infrastructure, and clean energy technologies
• Experience in technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success in meeting contract specifications and achieving high performance and advanced energy design standards
• Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
