Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team at Marvin. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on equipment, observing equipment to provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor, and learning the skills required to navigate PLC programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to provide feedback and ideas before implementing controls changes.
  • Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service.
  • Learn the skills required to navigate PLC programming.
  • Work efficiently with the work order system (EAM) to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant.
  • Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
  • Maintain backups of programs from all electrical devices.
  • Properly use a digital multimeter.
  • Work closely with maintenance and assist with troubleshooting electrical problems.
  • Concisely and accurately document set-points and parameters for equipment.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a closely related role is required.
  • Associate's degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
  • Enterprise Asset Management software experience and ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs proficiently.
  • Disciplines received within the last 6 months may affect eligibility for this opportunity.
