We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at UT Health Science Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced medical care to patients with complex acute, critical, and/or chronic health conditions in a clinic or hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conducts complex, standardized patient care procedures under the direction of a physician.
- Performs independent and physician-supervised rounding on unit.
- Coordinates, directs, and implements the patient's plan of care.
- Assists in collecting patient histories, screens for co-morbidities, and provides guidance and preventative health care as needed.
- Orders appropriate laboratory, diagnostic and radiographic tests and interprets the results.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient care.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Current Texas Licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Current Physician Assistant certification issued by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified or specialty certification as required by department.
- Proficient in the use of medical and surgical instruments and equipment required by work.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
