Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and skilled Senior Superintendent to join our team, focusing on Ground Up Healthcare Construction.
This is a permanent role that presents a challenging and fulfilling opportunity to oversee construction projects from inception to completion in the healthcare sector.
The ideal candidate will manage all phases of project construction, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and top-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage all phases of project construction, from pre-construction planning to final completion, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee the efforts of construction teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, uphold quality standards, and proactively identify potential challenges or delays.
- Develop and execute effective project schedules, work plans, and cost estimates, ensuring optimal resource utilization and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, implementing risk management strategies and fostering a culture of safety on-site.
- Continuously assess construction processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary changes.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in hospital or healthcare-related projects.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Superintendent or in a comparable leadership role, with a successful track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, equipment, and safety protocols, with specific expertise in healthcare construction.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a talent for motivating diverse teams toward shared objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with the foresight to address issues, manage risks, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering robust relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in project management, safety management, or related areas are advantageous.
