Job Overview

Morrison Healthcare, a leading provider of food and nutrition services, seeks an experienced Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations and maintain a safe work environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial culinary professional to lead our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement regular and modified menus according to established guidelines, ensuring high-quality meals that meet corporate standards.
  • Training and Development: Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety handling, equipment operation, food safety, and sanitation protocols based on company and regulatory standards.
  • Kitchen Management: Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas, ensuring compliance with regulations and departmental procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies within established guidelines, ensuring availability of necessary products when needed.
  • Decision-Making: Make decisions regarding leftover food product utilization while adhering to company guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Experience: 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
  • Education: A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, quality production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: Estimated $80,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience.
