In the role of School Age Program Lead Educator, you will be instrumental in supporting the YMCA Child Care Program throughout the year. Your primary objective will be to provide children with a variety of activities that encourage exploration and the development of their interests and skills, while ensuring their safety, health, social development, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate parent meetings and foster positive relationships with families.
  • Collaborate with the program director and branch leadership to advocate for team needs.
  • Provide feedback and assist in the onboarding process for new site staff.
  • Ensure adherence to YMCA policies and procedures within the program.
  • Encourage a positive atmosphere that promotes fun, safety, and YMCA values.
  • Engage in family nights and program events.

Are you a suitable candidate?

  • You have a passion for working with school-aged children and possess experience in a childcare environment.
  • You are at least 21 years of age.
  • You have prior management experience.
  • You hold educational qualifications in Early Childhood Education or related fields.
  • You are dedicated to fulfilling state educational requirements.
  • You are certified in Infant-Child CPR and Basic First Aid.
  • You are open to obtaining necessary certifications.
  • You must successfully pass required background and fingerprint checks.
  • You have reliable transportation.

Compensation: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Shift Details: Before school 6:00 am - 9:00 am and after school 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Hours may vary based on school district)
