As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for the operation of diagnostic CT and the performance of all CT procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. You will possess a positive and courteous attitude, and take the initiative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify each patient, review each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency, and record pertinent data at all times.
  2. Review each examination for technical accuracy, present completed examination to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
  3. Identify anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensure proper film identification on all images.
  4. Take call when required.
  5. Perform quality control.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a CT-Tech in an acute care environment is preferred.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on Computer Tomography or registry eligible.
  • Certification by Texas Medical Board.
  • BLS Required.
