Job Title: Irrigation Installation Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Installation Operations Manager to join our team at Big Tree, Inc.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of commercial irrigation projects, managing employees and equipment, and ensuring project completion within project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple irrigation construction projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
  • Coordinate with the Irrigation Department Manager to procure and deliver materials on time.
  • Identify job site challenges, provide recommendations, and track project changes for change order requests.
  • Monitor material usage and ensure accurate costing for each project.
  • Assist in setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project scheduling.
  • Manage crew schedules and timecards to optimize labor costs.
  • Maintain construction equipment, tools, and materials to prevent damage or loss.
  • Recruit, hire, and train laborers and crew leaders.
  • Document and communicate client feedback to the Irrigation Department Manager.
  • Enforce Big Tree's safety policies and procedures, including compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in commercial irrigation installation is preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and read blueprints and specifications.
  • General knowledge of plant water requirements and irrigation system design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage changing priorities and workflow.
  • Dedication to learning and improving company standards, procedures, and goals.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, and assist with other projects.
  • Commitment to ongoing skill enhancement for top-level industry performance.
  • Good judgment related to all job functions, including attention to detail, strong work ethic, punctuality, ethics, and accountability.
  • Possession of pertinent physical requirements commensurate with the job.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
Estimated Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

This salary estimate is based on industry standards and the level of expertise required for this position.
