Meat Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a Meat Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality products.

• Receive and process meat deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
• Weigh, price, and label meat products to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Stock and maintain meat cases, selecting products to meet customer demand and ensuring optimal product rotation.
• Prepare valued-added products, such as cuts and special orders, to meet customer needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge, making recommendations to customers and promoting sales through suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to sanitation and food safety standards at all times.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including processing cuts for service counter or special orders.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
