POSITION SUMMARY:
The Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiac Critical Care is responsible for overseeing critically ill cardiovascular patients who require intensive medical attention. This role involves close collaboration with Cardiovascular Intensivists and attending physicians to ensure comprehensive care management from admission through discharge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the care of patients immediately following cardiovascular procedures and those requiring intensive monitoring.
- Support the healthcare team in developing and modifying patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Identify and address discharge planning needs to facilitate a smooth transition for patients.
- Engage in continuous collaboration with all healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with acute care training.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License, NCCPA Certification (for PAs), and relevant certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Current certification from either AANC or AANP (for NPs).
