Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. This role will require strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring accurate product counting.
  • Ensure efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, including charging optimization.
  • Participate in establishing work schedules to ensure correct implementation.
  • Oversee the proper completion of jobs and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in accordance with established food safety plan and GMP's.
  • Maintain product locator system and ensure optimal utilization of space.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse, per company policy.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking/staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality and productivity.
  • Contribute to and provide ideas and input for site continuous improvement.
  • Provide support for all functions in the warehouse, including but not limited to picking, receiving, loading, unloading, PIR's, put away, replenishment, and training new hires.
Requirements:
  • Certification of willingness to become certified on all warehouse equipment, including stock picker, sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jack, scissor lift, clamp attachment, slip sheet attachment, scrubber, and any other material handling equipment necessary to support the operation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide effectively and with a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership capacity with a team of 10 or more employees.
  • Warehouse management system (WMS) experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools/Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Noisy environments/Hazardous conditions.
