About the Role:
As a skilled Operating Room Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include preparing the Operating Room team, maintaining aseptic conditions, and assisting surgeons. Your expertise will contribute significantly to ensuring safe and efficient surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room, assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety.
- Prepare Operating Rooms for surgery, including setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring aseptic conditions.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to assist with procedures, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration and airway management as needed during surgery.
- Provide postoperative care, including wound care, monitoring recovery, and educating patients and their families on postoperative instructions and self-care.
Requirements:
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- 2 years of recent OR (Operating Room) nursing experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
